This is what sailors experienced: The harbour was ideal, offering ample space, electricity, and water. All the necessary stores were just a short walk away, and the restaurants were charmingly situated right on the waterfront. We found it to be a truly enjoyable place. Make sure to call the harbour captain a day before arrival!

This is what sailors experienced: This abandoned vacation village offered excellent shelter from the prevailing winds, particularly those coming from the east-southeast and northeast. The sandy bottom made it a good spot for anchoring, but aside from the beach, there was little to do on land. The deserted buildings stood as a reminder of a past era of carefree vacations.

Black Kavos Bay

This is what sailors experienced: This is a nice little spot to stop for a while. It’s a small anchorage with limited swing room, so you might want to tie to shore. We had 20m of chain out with 6m of depth to limit my swing. The holding is good.

This is what sailors experienced: Anchoring at 8m on the sandy bottom is a good option here. Be aware that further east, deeper in the bay, the bottom becomes more stony. With the wind in the bay & some swell present, this spot is only recommended in light wind conditions.

This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage offers good depths for swimming or diving, with a particularly nice area of pebbles north of the beach. We anchored at 30m by 8m on sand. Even with sudden gusts reaching 28 knots, we experienced no issues thanks to the good hold in the sand. The historic town of Itanos is definitely worth a visit.
