This is what sailors experienced:
This charming anchorage feels like stepping back in time. It’s located on the south side, about 150m from the bathers, opposite the To Kamini tavern. The beach exudes a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, a place where time seems to move at a slower pace.
This is what sailors experienced:
This anchorage offers good security thanks to its expansive sandy area and shallow water depth (3-5m). It’s a peaceful and pleasant spot, perfect for swimming. While well-sheltered from southwest to northwest winds, it can become quite rolly and uncomfortable with a northeast wind, which is common in the area.
Be mindful of the shallows, especially towards the north, where the bottom rises quickly to less than a meter. Avoid getting too close to the shore in this section.
This is what sailors experienced:
This anchorage is a good choice, with ample sandy bottom for excellent holding in 3-4m of water. While we didn’t go ashore, the area seemed peaceful with only a few small fishing boats coming and going.
This is what sailors experienced:
This secluded spot is a truly wild and charming location, with a tiny chapel perched on a rock adding to its unique character. The sandy bottom offers even depths ranging from 2-5m.

The sandy bottom here is of excellent quality, with great holding. We moored in 5.5m of water with 28m of chain. While the forecast was for very moderate southerly winds, we actually experienced winds from all directions, but none exceeding 10 knots. The water remained remarkably calm throughout our stay.
This is what sailors experienced:
We anchored in 5m of water off the fishing port, finding good holding. While the anchorage was generally calm, we experienced some swell at night.

Approach the dock from the starboard side, keeping a safe distance from the breakwater. You can moor as shown in the photo, with an estimated depth of approximately 3.5m inside the dock.

This wild, secluded bay offers a tranquil escape. The sandy bottom provides good holding in 3-4m of water.
This is what sailors experienced:
This charming anchorage, nestled amidst farms and a few houses, offers excellent protection from northerly winds. While the depths range from 1-3m, you’ll find several small sandy spots amidst a generally weedy bottom. Anchors dig in well when set properly, holding firm even in 35 knot gusts. A short dinghy ride or an easy walk along the road will take you to the nearby port, where there’s plenty of space for tying up.
This is what sailors experienced:
Unfortunately, the main basin seems to have been neglected, as dredging hasn’t been done. This limits it to yachts with a draft of 1.4m or less (indicated in red on the chart). To add insult to injury, northerly winds churn up quite a bit of chop in the port – a bit of a design flaw! With strong Meltemi, it becomes rather unpleasant. The only saving grace is the availability of water and electricity (though pricey), accessible with a Lesbos card. We decided to move on to the anchorage on the other side of Sigri.

This anchorage is a true gem, resembling a dramatic amphitheater of cliffs with crystal-clear blue water reminiscent of the southern seas. The fine sandy bottom provides excellent holding in 5m of water. It’s a perfect spot for a refreshing dip in calm weather and, surprisingly, offers good shelter from north to northeast winds.

This cove provides good shelter from winds with an easterly component. It offers sandy bottom in 3-4m of water. It’s a deserted and accessible beach with clear water.
This is what sailors experienced:
This large bay boasts one of Lesbos’ most beautiful sandy beaches. The eastern section is nudist, while the western side features a beverage caravan, though it was only open once during our week-long stay. The beach is mostly secluded, with the bay usually being quite empty. We anchored in the eastern section in 2.1m of sand, using 30m of chain. We experienced Meltemi with peak gusts of 45 knots from the northeast.
This is what sailors experienced:
Buoys are strung across the beach, about 100 meters from shore, to create a safe swimming area. Be cautious when approaching, as the depth drops to 3m at 200m. The bottom is beautiful sand that provides excellent holding.
