Port of Mytika

This charming harbour boasts a welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals. However, navigating the mooring lines can be tricky for smaller vessels, particularly when attempting to go stern-to. Additionally, those with deeper drafts should be cautious of shallow waters near the quay wall. Anchoring in the calm bay outside the harbour might be a preferable option for some.

This is what sailors experienced: Impeccable cleanliness, top-notch organization, and excellent security – this winter storage facility ticks all the boxes! We’re thrilled to have found the ideal spot for our boat’s off-season stay.

Charter Quay

This is what sailors experienced: The charter quay offers a protected location, but be aware of potential noise from a nearby disco, especially on weekends, if mooring at the south end. Additionally, the presence of mooring chains on the seabed at the southern end can pose a risk of entanglement for those anchoring. It’s recommended to exercise caution and consider alternative anchoring spots.

Discover a peaceful haven in the heart of the bay, where anchoring in 10-14m of fine mud provides good holding. Just be sure to give your anchor ample time to set. Ashore, a delightful and affordable taverna awaits, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal after a day on the water. For provisions and marine essentials, a well-stocked supermarket and a hardware store are conveniently located within a short 500m walk.

Agios Thomas

This idyllic spot offers not only a safe haven for boats but also a delightful culinary experience with two fantastic fish taverns located right on site. Indulge in the freshest catches of the day while enjoying the tranquil atmosphere of this hidden gem.

NE Anchorage

This is what sailors experienced:
This anchorage provided reliable holding, with 30m of chain set in 5m of depth. The anchor held firm even in 15-knot winds. We appreciated the added bonus of good WiFi connectivity, allowing us to stay connected while enjoying the solitude of the location.

Panagia Beach

This is what sailors experienced: We found this anchorage to be a perfect haven from westerly winds, with good holding and ample space. Although the water clarity isn’t ideal, it’s suitable for swimming. However, be forewarned – the mosquitos are quite ferocious, so come prepared with insect repellent.

Markou Bay

This is what sailors experienced: Excellent, well-protected anchorage with good holding in 12m (60m chain). Restaurant accessible by dinghy in the northern bay. Easy dinghy access to Vonitsa for provisions and a fantastic bakery.

Vonista Marina

This is what sailors experienced: Excellent town quay with med mooring options. Eastern side of finger quay offers good depth, but some missing rings. Convenient location near town and fortress. Highly recommended!
