Ano Koufonisi Marina

Marina
This is what sailors experienced: This charming little harbor offered a convenient pit stop for us. We appreciated the well-maintained mooring lines and the incredibly helpful marinero who made our short stay a breeze. We easily resupplied with water and provisions, and everything went smoothly. A perfect spot for a quick stopover.

Kasteli Kato

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This expansive bay, shielded by the comforting embrace of a natural breakwater, provided a peaceful overnight haven. We were captivated by the wild, undeveloped beauty of the place

Pezoúlia Beach Bay

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This picturesque cove, adorned with a mix of sand and boulders on the seabed, proved to be a perfect anchorage. We dropped anchor at 6 meters with a reassuring 50 meters of chain, finding excellent holding even with gusts of up to 20 knots from the north.

Nero Beach

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: The seabed here is mostly sandy, transitioning to rocky terrain closer to the shore. A little distance from the coast ensures excellent anchor hold. The water is exceptionally clear and clean, making it a haven for snorkeling enthusiasts. We were delighted by the abundance of fish and crabs flitting among the rocks.

Detis Beach

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage felt like a true paradise, offering sanctuary from the strong Meltemi winds. While the constant swell from passing ferries and boats wasn’t particularly strong, it did become a bit bothersome over time. Anchor placement is key here, as the seabed near the shore is rocky and offers poor holding. Venturing a bit further out reveals a sandy bottom dotted with small blades of grass, providing a secure grip for your anchor.

Bay Next to Marina of Kato Koufonisi

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage boasts a unique seabed of flat rocks dusted with a thin layer of sand and pebbles. While providing excellent mooring, it becomes a bit challenging in winds exceeding 15 knots from the north.

Pillars of Glaronisi

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This spot is gorgeous, offering stunning views and crystal clear water. However, there’s little wind and lots of reefs, so be cautious! Anchor in deeper water and keep a close eye on things, as the ferry passes by very close and the swell near the rocks can be dangerous for snorkeling or anchoring.

Paralia Italida

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This is a charming little bay that’s lovely when the conditions are right. We found the protection lacking, though it seemed calmer elsewhere in the bay. The seabed is mostly stone slabs covered with sand and flat seagrass, making it a bit tricky to find and anchor on the sand patches.

Paralia Pori

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This bay, along with its neighboring bay containing the caves, is a remarkable sight to behold – a true geological wonder.

Ksylompatis Caves

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This is an incredible spot! Cliff jumping, snorkeling in caves, and a walk along the nearby nude beach to see the Devil’s Eye make for an unforgettable experience. The water is about 4-5 meters deep, perfect for exploring the many caves and snorkeling. The seabed is mostly sand with a few rocks.
