This harbour is a great find! We had no issues with our 2.2m draft, as the harbour easily boasts a depth of 3 meters. Plenty of room to maneuver and feel secure.
This is what sailors experienced:
This is a fantastic spot to anchor! We found a perfect spot parallel to the town and tied lines ashore. The steps leading up the hill to the town of Kastro are a bit of a workout, but totally worth it for the breathtaking views across to Antiparos and Paros. The water is unbelievably clear, and it’s a perfect place to cool off after a day exploring.
Sifnos offers a variety of marinas and ports to suit your needs, from the bustling port of Kamares, the main harbour, to the smaller, more secluded marina in Vathi. Kamares is a vibrant hub with all the amenities you might need, including restaurants, shops, and even a lively nightlife. Vathi, on the other hand, offers a quieter, more charming atmosphere, ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat. If you’re looking for a truly authentic experience, try dropping anchor at the charming port of Apollonia, the island’s capital, with its whitewashed houses and traditional architecture.
For those seeking adventure and solitude, Sifnos boasts an array of breathtaking anchorages.
