This bay offers a secure haven, well-protected from the elements. Drop anchor in the center of the bay at a comfortable 2m on the sandy bottom, which provides excellent holding. Be mindful of the shoals flanking the entrance, as the depth drops sharply from 9m to 2m. The bay also offers good protection from swell, and its crystal-clear waters invite exploration.

This spot offers a super hold in the sand, with our anchor digging deep at 8m, secured with a generous 40m of chain. Be prepared for some serious wind, as this area is a hot spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers. The energy here is contagious, but if you’re looking for a safe and secure anchorage, you’ve found it.
This is what sailors experienced:
While this harbour offers the convenience of electricity and water at the quay, it’s not a particularly comfortable spot due to the often-present swell. However, if you’re willing to take advantage of the quieter hours, you can consider stern mooring or alongside the dock at night, particularly when the tourist boats to Chalki island are absent. Just be aware of the swell and proceed with caution.
