Psara Port

Marina

This is what sailors experienced:
This charming harbour offers excellent protection when you’re berthed stern-to, but mooring can be a bit tricky as the wind often comes in on the beam. Water and electricity are available, and the harbour fees are incredibly low though you might not even need to pay sometimes.

Lazaretta Beach

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage offers excellent holding in 5-6m of sand, with a generous 60m of chain for added security, even in winds up to 50 knots. While sheltered from the swell, be mindful of northerly winds, which can make for a slightly choppy stay.

Limnos Beach

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: The sand is proving to be a reliable anchor hold, anchored towards the center at 6.5m with a reassuring 50m of chain. The NW wind is currently a gentle breeze between 4-20 knots, and the slight swell is no cause for concern. Enjoying the peaceful solitude.

Psara NE Bay

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage is a gem, especially when the wind blows from the south. With ample space for multiple yachts and a sandy bottom that provides excellent holding, it’s a perfect spot to drop anchor. While you can enjoy the peace and quiet, be prepared for occasional gusts. The landscape is breathtaking, with captivating caves, mesmerizing blue waters, and crystal-clear visibility for snorkeling. A must-visit for any sailor seeking a beautiful and serene anchorage!

Psara Northern Bay (Opt.1)

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This is a truly remote anchorage, tucked away in a cliff cirque, with no network connectivity but plenty of company from the resident goats. It’s a secluded haven with approximately 10m of depth, but only suitable for calm weather or when the wind is blowing from the south. Prepare for a digital detox & enjoy the serenity of this isolated paradise.

Psara Northern Bay (Opt.2)

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage offers good holding in 3.5m of sand, proving reliable even in 25 knots of southern wind. However, it’s only suitable when the wind blows from the south, as it’s completely exposed to northern winds and waves. So, enjoy the calm and sheltered conditions when the wind is favorable, but be sure to seek a different anchorage if the wind shifts north.

Psara NW Bay

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This wide bay is a bit tricky for finding sand, as rocks and weed dominate the seabed. However, we managed to discover a good sandy patch at a depth of 13m, just slightly west of a lone black rock near the shore. We spent a comfortable night here with a 15-20 knot southerly wind, and the anchor held firm. It’s a good option when the wind is from the south, but be prepared to search for the sandy spot.

Nisida Agios Nikolaos

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage is truly wild, with a mooring on a bottom of sand and seaweed. It’s best suited for calm weather, where you can enjoy the serenity of this untamed spot. Swimming is fantastic here, and you can take a leisurely walk to the small chapel on the nearby island. Be prepared for an adventurous and peaceful experience.

Antipsara Ai Giannis Beach

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This bay is a pristine gem, with a wide, deserted beach that’s begging to be explored. Anchoring is possible in 5-8m of sandy bottom, interspersed with a few stones. We only stopped for a quick swim in the calm conditions, but the cove seems spacious and the bottom appears to offer good holding. It’s a perfect spot for a secluded swim and a taste of paradise.

Antipsara Southern Anchorage

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This anchorage offers excellent shelter and reliable holding on sand, making it a top choice for a peaceful stay. While the shore is relatively barren, with just prickly ground cover and friendly goats as company, the surrounding scenery makes up for it. The Greek sea guide recommends it as the best of the four bays on N Antipsara’s south side, and for good reason! However, be sure to approach from the east, as there’s a reef with outlying rocks to the west. Enjoy a safe and peaceful stay in this well-protected haven.

Antipsara SE Anchorage

Anchorage
This is what sailors experienced: This large, sandy bay offers excellent protection from all northerly winds, making it a great choice for a calm and peaceful stay. The anchor holds exceptionally well in just 3m of depth, but be cautious as the water depth drops to a mere 1.5m about 200m before the beach. Enjoy the spacious bay and the secure anchoring, but be mindful of the shallows as you approach the shore.
