This anchorage requires a bit of finesse due to the rocky bottom. Take your time to find a sandy patch for your anchor – we dropped ours in 5m of water and let out 20m of chain for good measure. The effort is well worth it, though! The bay is beautifully sheltered, offering a calm and peaceful haven away from the open sea.

Ayia Triada Beach

This is what sailors experienced: Beware of the rocky bottom in this anchorage! We spent a brief but rather rolly night here, battling waves and even encountering a tangled anchor situation (which we thankfully managed to resolve). The weather wasn’t on our side, so exploring ashore wasn’t an option. This spot might be better suited for calmer conditions.

Kanula Beach

This is what sailors experienced: This spot is an absolute gem! Anchoring in 5 meters of crystal-clear water with a sandy bottom is pure bliss. Just be mindful of a few rocky patches, especially an unmarked rock lurking less than a meter below the surface in the northern section – easily spotted on calm days, but worth noting. Overall, a fantastic and picturesque anchorage!

This gorgeous anchorage was an idyllic stopover. We found good holding in the sand, just make sure to consult an aerial photo to locate the sandy patches among rocks.

Aspri Beach

This is what sailors experienced: This secluded bay is a true hidden paradise! Towering white cliffs embrace a small private beach, creating a scene straight out of a postcard. We found good holding in the pebble-strewn seabed. The real highlight? Exploring the sea caves on one side of the bay – a diver’s dream!
